Purpose designed for ‘flooded-cell’ Ni-cad and Lead Acid Batteries, these two-rate constant potential solid state battery chargers utilize phase controlled thyristor circuitry to provide fully automatic and maintenance free charging for 12, 24 and 48V battery systems and operate over a wide ambient temperature range. The battery voltage is monitored between the current pulses to minimise volt-drop in the output cables between the charger and the battery. Voltage Boost terminals are provided to equalize the cells and the float voltage is user adjustable within a limited range. Five LED’s provide status information Boost / Fault / Charged / Charging / Power. The Charge Failure circuit provides volt-free alarm contacts and the fault condition includes battery disconnection.
Note: these chargers cannot operate as power supplies.
Note: never add an external blocking diode as these chargers must be connected direct to the Batteries.
